Notes & Quotes GACPC Newsletter
Giving Thanks and Books for the Holidays November/December 2008
|
|
Dear Friendly Newsletter Subscriber,
Notes
& Quotes has been mysteriously absent from mailboxes across the nation for the
last few months, but now it's back and here to stay, so calm your fears! I hope
to account for this extended incubation period by jam-packing this issue full
of informative news, reviews, links, and helpful holiday shopping suggestions
(books are relatively affordable gifts that keep on giving, perfect for your
once-in-a-generation economic crisis) - not to mention all the effort that's been
put into the new slimmed-down, yet revamped, format!
A
few weeks ago, just when I thought I was settling in to my new job here as marketing
manager, the book gods, fickle as they are, decided to throw WordStock, the PubWest Conference, and the fall sales meeting at me in the span of a few weeks
(including weekends). And if that wasn't enough they added a smattering of
great new books that I don't think three marketing managers could do enough
to deservedly promote . . . let alone one.
But
it's my job to try - even if I'm still dizzily, and slightly giddily, recovering from
the last few weeks - so, without further ado, Notes and Quotes:
(Ari Phillips)
(PS- Hi! I'm the new marketing manager here at GACPC. I'm new to Portland, OR also. If anyone has any suggestions regarding this newsletter, books, marketing, or even Portland, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!)
