The Alaska Almanac
31st Edition
Alaska Northwest Books®
SB, 978-0-88240-698-5, $12.95
Everyone knows Alaska is our biggest state, that Mt. McKinley is North America’s tallest mountain, and that Nome is colder than anywhere you should ever want to be. But did you know that your chances of being killed by a bear in Alaska are greater than your chances of being run over by a New York City cabbie? Or that it gets so chilly up there that your tires will go flat? Or that half of all Alaskan man-overboard accidents happen because a guy tried to relieve himself over the side?

New Jersey

NEW JERSEY: PORTRAIT OF A STATE captures all corners of the Garden State’s rich history, diverse landscape, and popular attractions in stunning full-color photographs.

| | Hello All,
November is an important month for us, now that two long-awaited titles are coming in. ARIZONA and THE ALASKA ALMANAC are just in the nick of time for Christmas and holiday sales.
David Muench’s ARIZONA is the first offering in the fully redesigned state book series from Graphic Arts Books, and offers breathtaking views of the state’s most beloved trademarks such as red rock, desert sands, and wildflowers. Also, THE ALASKA ALMANAC, now in its 31st edition, offers interesting and timely facts on geography, history, economy, employment, recreation, trophy records, climate, and more.
November is also an important month because many of our popular titles are being reprinted this month. Book buyers will be happy to know that children’s favorites like BIG-ENOUGH ANNA, TEN ROWDY RAVENS, and HUNGRY GIANT OF THE TUNDRA will be available again very soon.
As always, thank you for your continued support of Graphic Arts Center Publishing Co. And thank you for helping us make this holiday season a winner for everyone.
Regards,
Mike Jones
