Happy New Year to all!

As we move into 2007, we are excited about some very positive changes coming very soon this year.

Many of you have heard about our new partnership with Ingram Publisher Services (IPS). We anticipate that we will “go live” with IPS in mid-February.  IPS will provide order entry, customer service, warehousing, and fulfillment for our diverse list of more than 700 titles. This new partnership will be an enormous benefit to booksellers, librarians, gift shops, and all of our customers. Details about how to place your orders with IPS can be found on page 66 of our Spring 2007 catalog, which should be arriving in your mailbox soon. I encourage you to call your sales representative or contact me if you have any questions.

Reviewers and booksellers alike responded very positively to our new books in 2006. I hope you can take a moment to glance at the sidebar for a recap of last year’s hits as well as some of the great reviews they received.

Look for us this month at the ALA Midwinter Convention in Seattle, Washington, January 19-22, at the Washington State Convention Center, booth 1268, North Hall, 4th floor, and at the Seattle Gift Show, January 27-30, at the Washington State Convention Center, booth 4000, North Hall, Northwest Directions, 4th floor. Ask about special offers and author appearances. See you there!

We are also pleased to announce the arrival of several reprints this month. Adult nonfiction reprints arriving include:  One Man’s Wilderness, Johnny’s Girl, Shadows on the Koyukuk, and Dungeness Crab and Blackberry Cobblers.
