Hello All,

It was great to see so many of you at BEA. Thank you especially to those booksellers I talked with about signing up with Ingram Publisher Services. I heard a lot of positive comments about IPS at BEA.

Father’s Day is right around the corner, and if your customers are looking for manly dad-books, please allow me to make some suggestions. For dads who love trucks there’s always INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER, McCORMICK, NAVISTAR, the history of America’s greatest truck manufacturer. Or, for dads who love history, THE CHEROKEE TRAIL OF TEARS is an excellent choice. For hearty, wilderness dads we have just reprinted TWO IN A RED CANOE and ONE MAN’S WILDERNESS, and for a father who loves natural beauty, we recommend DESERT WATER and PILGRIM EYE. Finally, I recommend CHAINSAWS, a book my daughter should get for me.

Below, also, please take a moment to look at our ordering information and sales rep contacts. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call me or your local rep.

Regards,

Mike Jones
Dir. of Sales and Marketing

P.S. For those who haven’t heard, GACP Company is pleased to announce that Michael Powell, owner of Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon, was elected to the company’s Board of Directors on May 21, 2007. Essay by William Fox
Photography by Mark Lisk
Graphic Arts Books
Hardbound, 978-1-55868-858-2, $29.95

When we think of the desert, we almost never associate it with water. Rather we define it by the very absence of water. Yet the desert was carved by water—canyons, arroyos, ravines, chasms, washes—and water, in any amount, is the desert’s most precious and mysterious commodity. Small creeks flow at night, but dry up and disappear during daylight hours, only to return when the sun goes down.
