Hello All,

At Graphic Arts Center Publishing we’re entering one of the most exciting periods of our forty-year history. This month, Ingram Book Group (IBG) will become a minority shareholder in our company, and Ingram Publishers Services (IPS), one of IBG’s divisions, will begin providing order processing, warehousing, fulfillment, and collection services. We’re very pleased to be aligned with IBG and helped by the services they provide.

Our “go-live” date with IPS is February 19. If you have questions about ordering books though IPS please refer to your catalog or contact me or your sales rep.

This is also an exciting time because we have been able to reprint some of our most sought-after titles. Every book you see featured in this newsletter was out of stock due to higher-than-expected demand. Now they’re back!

Finally, this is an important time in our history because Graphic Arts has emerged from our Chapter 11 reorganization. Our reorganization plan was an enormous success, and we’re now in a better position than ever to make books that inspire, thrill, and delight . . . as well as sell.

The combination of Graphic Arts’ sales and marketing team and IPS’s back-end functions will provide Graphic Arts customers state-of-the-art order entry services, rapid turnaround of orders, and—in  many cases—free freight eligibility. With warehouses in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Oregon, customers will receive shipments of Graphic Arts books from the closest warehouse—minimizing shipping time.

Take a look at our Spring 2007 catalog or contact one of our sales reps to see some of the high-quality books that have helped bring us where we are today.

Regards,

Mike Jones
Dir. of Sales and Marketing

Walking My Dog, Jane: From Valdez to the Prudhoe Bay Along the Trans-Alaska Pipeline
by Ned Rozell
Alaska Northwest Books®
Softbound, 0-88240-594-2, $16.95

Why not do something great with a great dog? Rozell wondered. That something great was an aimless summer walking the 800-mile length of the trans-Alaska pipeline—months without clocks, without music or TV or driving, a summer of drinking from rivers that he’d only seen on maps, and a summer of meeting interesting people who have retreated (or advanced?) to a life in remote Alaska. Walking My Dog, Jane is Rozell’s tribute to his adopted state and to the travel partner who carried Rozell’s heart, and her own backpack, during a summer spent outside.
