Hello all—
April is here and spring has sprung! With the coming of the new season we
celebrated the launch of One Tough Mother, our much-anticipated
autobiography by Columbia Sportswear Chairman Gert Boyle. All royalties
from the book are going to support two of Mrs. Boyle’s favorite
charities, Special Olympics and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
for Children. For the launch she donated 600 books to be sold by these
charities helping to raise more than $10,000. Almost as impressive is that this
One Tough Author signed every last one of them! With a 400-plus-person
launch party complete with a U.S. Senator and the governor of Oregon, to
front-page stories in the Oregonian and AP coverage that was picked up
nationally, this is one title that’s off to a very strong start.
Below you’ll find
all the press coverage and author events for this and many other titles. If
you have any questions, or want to look into setting up an author event at
your store or library, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We hope you’re
having a great start to the new season and as always, thank you so much for
your continued support.
Regards,
Mike Jones

Dahlia
Cassidy
by Anne Cameron
Harbour Publishing
Softbound, 1-55017-344-8, $24.95
|
|
Dahlia
hasn’t had much luck with men, including the different fathers of
her kids. For years she clung to the hope that she’d just been
fishing in the wrong bay and if she moved around often enough, sooner or
later, she’d happen upon a man who had more in mind than some
friction. Dahlia is a survivor and the main survival tactic she’d
devised for herself and her kids is self-sufficiency. She’s
determined to be responsible for herself and beholden to nobody, and if
that means hardening her heart to the risks of love, so be it. But
Dahlia’s shell is not quite as tough as it seems, and one day at a
softball game, everything changes. DAHLIA CASSIDY is a delightful and
hilarious satire on relationships from one of British Columbia’s
favorite writers, Anne Cameron—a rollicking, lighthearted novel
with a cast of irresistible characters struggling to make sense of life
in a small coastal town.
